District Mission Statement

Our Mission is to maximize each student’s potential to learn and make a positive contribution to our world.

Education in the Laguna Beach Unified School District

The Schools in the Laguna Beach Unified School District are the convening point of the community and, as such, are connected with each other, the community, and the world through information-rich, interactive technology.

Laguna Beach Unified School District Goals 2003-2004

  • Continue maximum construction and modernization program progress in accordance with timelines and within adopted budgets.
  • Develop a comprehensive budgeting plan for 2003-2008.
  • Achieve tangible progress in the components identified through the District’s Quest for Excellence program.
  • Initiate a process for team agreement on the descriptors of excellent elementary, middle, and high schools, comparing them to current descriptions of LBUSD schools, and creating and initiating plans to bridge gap.
  • Create and implement strategies for supporting students and for recognizing them in the larger community.
